Athletic strengths

I enjoy participating in all sports and I have excelled at most having played first team throughout secondary school for tennis, rugby, hockey and cricket. Tennis has always been my passion and is the sport I have chosen to pursue, so much so that I now board full time at Repton school and I now captain the first team. Initially injury, now fully fit once again, and then the covid pandemic lock down hampered my competitive progress but during 2022 I have won 3 singles competitions, a mens invitational doubles competition, north of England regional finals of the HSBC Play Your Way To Wimbledon finals and reached the quarter finals of the ISTA u19 national doubles finals. I also compete mens division 1 NPL for Repton rackets club.

I am 6 feet 4 inches tall, which helps with my serve which is certainly one of my games strengths but I pride myself on my athleticism which gives me great court coverage. As well as having great self motivation I am a committed team performer and I love being part of a team and get immense pleasure from helping to motivate team members to bring out the best in each of them. This attribute has resulted in being appointed 1st team tennis captain and house prefect after only 1 year at Repton school.

Academic Goals

I am a very practical person and I have chosen academic subjects to study at 6th form that utilise this attribute as well as help to develop my sorting passion. I am enjoying studying both sport and design and technology making great progress with both. I love computers, being an accomplished gamer competing both individually and part of a team. I have used my technical attributes to good purpose building several of my own computers from component parts

My other main interest, after tennis and computers, is anything and everything car repeated. I am proud to admit that my knowledge of motor cars is almost encyclopaedic. I love driving and recently past y driving test at first attempt having only had 2 hours of formal driving lessons.

When I am not studying, playing or training for tennis, building or playing with computers, indulging my passion for cars and motor sport I am using my tennis coaching qualification to develop younger members of the school tennis squads or coaching adults at the Repton Rackets Club.

My immediate goals are to be successful in my study’s, improve UTR and LTA ratings, compete in and win more singes and doubles tennis competitions and secure a tennis scholarship at a university in the USA. My mid-term goal is to progress my tennis beyond university, to turn professional and to play ATP tour.
